Pledge to WMS

“When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Sahih Muslim)

Why do we need Wakaf?

In the next 30 years, the Singapore Muslim community will face various challenges. Currently, existing community funds support the day-to-day and short-term needs of our community and institutions. Despite it, our mosque and madrasah still face funding shortfalls and must run ad-hoc fundraisings. With land lease renewals and other future needs looming, we need to start building a sustainable long-term fund – Wakaf Masyarakat Singapura (WMS) – now.

Through this platform, we also hope to educate on Islamic wealth and legacy planning to enable, empower and grow with our community.

>$20 Milion

TO SUSTAIN OUR RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS

Our mosques and madrasah lack sustainable long-term funding. In the next 30 years, they face multiple land lease renewals. WMS will help support this large expenditure including redevelopment, upgrading and other future needs.

>$250 Milion

TO DEVELOP OUR ASATIZAH

WMS will support the Committee of Future Asatizah’s (COFA) efforts to develop and strengthen our asatizah sector to meet the community’s needs and fulfil the career aspiration of current and aspiring Islamic Studies graduates.

>$17 Milion

TO EMPOWER COMMUNITY INITIATIVES

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of community programmes and assistance during tough times. WMS will help the community in times of need and provide sustainable funding for regular socio-religious programmes.
